This drama has been out there for a while. If I have watched it four years ago, one year ago, or three months ago, the feelings delivered would have been dramatically different. Honestly, for gender equities, I support 'conditional equilibrium'. I don't think to let the men take over all the delicate house chores or let the women to fix vehicles is a good idea. We are essentially biologically different. The equality to me is more like a optimum dynamic balance of two genders. Mutual understanding, mutual support, but male should always carry more on the way. I don't agree with all the ideas conveyed in S&C, but it shows an interesting aspect of the females' perspective on many of the nowadays issues. I should say I enjoyed most of the plots I watched so far, and you almost can easily put people you know into the characters; most of the characters are pretty symbolic.
Mr Big is the man I want to become: he's arrogant with high self-esteem; buoyant with cheerful spirits; mature yet cute and Charming; Deep and decent; Intriguing and mysterious; Thoughtful and caring. I got attracted to him first time I saw this drama. There are very few men that can get me admired; and everytime I ran into one it's almost always like: I just want to be someone like him later on.
Still watching it. This drama contains way more dynamics and philosophy than I expected, and I guess this is the reason why so many girls are quite into it. However, If you are a guy and you are not mature enough, better don't watch it. It reminds me some of the brutal honesty in Closer and several related media masterpieces.
